About

Press and Media

Press inquiries go to press@yachtsforkings.com with a reply target of three working days. Yachts For Kings is an independent editorial guide to weekly yacht charter, day charter, and yacht brokerage, covering 80 destinations and more than 12,000 yachts, refreshed every quarter. The site launched 2026-02-01. The editor is available for comment on yacht charter market conditions, broker performance, shipyard delivery timelines, and the transparency model the site operates under.

What we can comment on, on the record

Charter market conditions by destination and season, with rate ranges, APA percentages, and booking lead times. We hold our own dataset on the 80 destinations we cover, refreshed quarterly. We will share aggregates. We will not share individual broker book data.

Broker performance based on our published reviews of Burgess, Edmiston, Camper and Nicholsons, Fraser, Northrop and Johnson, and IYC. The published verdicts are the public position. We will not say something on the record about a broker that we have not put on the page.

Shipyard delivery timelines for the major builders we cover, including Feadship, Lurssen, Oceanco, Heesen, Benetti, Sanlorenzo, and Sunseeker. The published builder pages are the basis. Industry rumor and unconfirmed delivery slot data is not on the record.

The transparency model. How we are monetized, what the editorial firewall does, what we will and will not accept money to publish. The how we make money page is the public position. Press inquiries that want more detail than the public page should expect a polite "the page is the answer."

The market structure in independent yacht editorial: why Boat International cannot run a "five overrated charter yachts" piece, why broker-owned guides cannot rank their own listings honestly, why the day-charter market has no Plum Guide equivalent.

What we will not comment on

The names of individual reader sources who emailed us with experience reports on a yacht or a broker. Source protection is absolute. We will confirm that a report was received and verified, on the record. We will not name the sender.

Specific revenue figures by quarter or by partner. The mechanism and the ranges are on the how we make money page. The exact share by partner is commercially sensitive.

Unconfirmed yacht sales, refits, or buyer identities. We do not publish rumor. We will not confirm or deny a transaction we have not seen documented.

Legal threats made by brokers, owners, or shipyards against us. We hold these for our solicitor. We do not litigate in the press, and we do not give the threats oxygen.

The editor

The site is built and edited by Fredrik Filipsson, working from a base in Florida. Fredrik is the founder of the For Kings editorial network, which includes VillasForKings, HotelsForKings, RestaurantsForKings, BarsForKings, and Yachts For Kings. The yacht-side editorial work began in 2025 and the site launched 2026-02-01. Fredrik has personally chartered, sailed, or boarded approximately [VERIFY: charter visit count] yachts across the Mediterranean and Caribbean over the 24 months preceding launch, and built the underlying 37-point checklist from that fieldwork plus contributor work.

The contributors are a small group with charter broker, captain, and owner-side backgrounds. They are not named on the site because they still work in the industry. Their identities are available on a confidential basis to a journalist with a verifiable byline, on the standard "do not publish names" condition.
