Yachts For Kings

Terms of Use

These terms govern use of yachtsforkings.com. The site went live in 2026 and these terms were last reviewed on 2026-05-02. Reading the site, subscribing to the newsletter, clicking an affiliate or referral link, or sending a correction email all constitute acceptance of the version of these terms posted at the time of that action. We reply to formal legal contact at legal@yachtsforkings.com within 5 working days. Editorial corrections go to editor@yachtsforkings.com under the process documented on the editorial standards page.

Who runs the site

Yachts For Kings is owned and operated by Fredrik Filipsson, working from Florida. It is one of five sites in the For Kings network, the others being VillasForKings, HotelsForKings, RestaurantsForKings, and BarsForKings. The publisher is not a licensed yacht broker, captain, surveyor, lawyer, or financial advisor, and nothing on the site should be read as professional advice in any of those fields. The site is editorial commentary built on documented industry sources and reader-side experience.

Use of the site

The site is offered for personal, non-commercial reading. You may share individual pages by sending a link. You may not scrape the site, mirror substantial sections of it, train a machine-learning model on its content without prior written permission, or republish material under a different masthead. Quotation of short passages with attribution and a working link to the source page is allowed under standard fair-use and fair-dealing principles. Bulk republication is not.

You may not use the site in any way that breaks applicable law, infringes our or any third party's rights, transmits malware, attempts to interfere with the site's operation, or attempts to access non-public areas of the infrastructure.

Editorial content and reliance

The rankings, reviews, recommendations, and commentary published on the site are editorial opinion based on the methodology documented on the methodology page. The rankings change as inventory, ownership, captaincy, refit status, and operator practice change. A yacht we recommend in May may be a yacht we would not recommend in November if the captain has changed or the refit has slipped. A broker review reflects the broker's positioning at the time of publication. The rankings are reviewed quarterly for destination pages and annually for broker and builder reviews.

The technical content on the site, including yacht specifications, charter rates, asking prices, refit dates, and crew counts, is verified at the time of publication against the sources named on the methodology page. Where a fact cannot be verified, we mark it [VERIFY: pending] inline. Specifications change. A 51m yacht today may be 53m next year if the swim platform has been redesigned in refit. A yacht offered at $40M today may be reduced to $35M next month. The page's last-updated date controls. Do not make a $5M-plus charter or $20M-plus purchase decision on the basis of a page that was last updated 90 days ago without re-verifying the specifications, the asking price, and the operating status with the broker named on the page.

The site is not the broker, the operator, or the seller. A reader who books a charter, books a day charter, or buys a yacht through a partner reached through an affiliate or referral link on this site enters a direct contract with that partner. The terms of that contract govern the transaction. Our terms do not. We do not hold reader funds, we do not issue contracts, we do not arrange survey or insurance, and we do not represent buyers or sellers in transactions.

Affiliate and referral links

The full mechanics of how the site earns money are on the affiliate disclosure and how we make money pages. The short version: pages containing affiliate or referral links carry the standard disclosure block at the top of the body. We do not adjust rankings to favor higher-commission partners. The commission rates and partner relationships are disclosed in aggregate. Where a single partner has paid us more than 15 percent of revenue in the preceding 12 months, that fact is disclosed on the broker or platform review page in question.

A click on an affiliate link sets a tracking token at the partner side, not on our infrastructure. The token does not transmit personal information from our site to the partner. If you then complete a booking, charter, or purchase on the partner's platform within the partner's cookie window (30 to 90 days, partner-dependent), the partner credits the referral to us and pays a commission. The price you pay is set by the partner and is not affected by the referral.

Third-party content and links

The site links to third-party brokers, operators, builders, marinas, and shoreside services. These links are provided as editorial references. We do not control the third-party sites and we are not responsible for the third-party content, privacy practices, or security postures. The presence of a link is not a sponsorship endorsement, and the partner relationships that exist (where revenue flows) are disclosed under the affiliate disclosure framework above.

User-generated content on third-party sites reached through our links is governed by the host site's terms.

Intellectual property

All editorial text, photography commissioned by the publisher, structural design, and the For Kings naming convention are copyrighted to the publisher. The Yachts For Kings name, the For Kings family name, and the "The yacht is the trip" tagline are common-law trademarks of the publisher. Third-party photography is used under license and credited where rights require credit; reuse of third-party photography without permission from the rights holder is not permitted under these terms.

Reader correspondence sent to editor@yachtsforkings.com or legal@yachtsforkings.com may be published in aggregated or anonymized form as part of the editorial change log or correction record, unless the reader specifically requests confidentiality at the time of the email. Personal names are never published. The full handling is on the methodology page.

No professional advice

Nothing on the site is legal, financial, tax, insurance, surveying, captaincy, or charter-broker advice. The site is editorial commentary. A $5M weekly charter or a $30M yacht purchase is a transaction that should be handled with paid professional advisors. Read the site, then hire the right people.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of or reliance on the site. The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. The publisher does not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components. Where law in the reader's jurisdiction implies non-excludable warranties (such as consumer protection law in the EU, UK, Australia, or certain US states), those warranties apply notwithstanding this clause, but only to the extent they cannot lawfully be excluded.

The publisher's aggregate liability for any claim arising from these terms or use of the site is capped at USD 100, which represents the de minimis nature of the contractual relationship between the publisher and the reader. The cap does not apply to liability for personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud, where law disallows such caps.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Disputes arising from these terms or from use of the site are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Florida. Readers outside the United States may have non-waivable rights under their local consumer protection law. Those rights apply alongside this clause.

We expect formal disputes to be rare. Most readers email editor@yachtsforkings.com first and the issue resolves within 5 working days without formal process.

Changes

Material changes to these terms are published with an inline notice at the top of the page for 30 days, and the page's last-updated date is changed. Non-material edits (typos, link updates, formatting) are published without notice.
